Creating art and playing music
has been a passion for the majority of my life. This is my gift and I would like to share it.
I was born and raised on the eastern end of Long Island, New York and grew up singing and playing rock, funk and jazz.
Never without my camera, I developed a love of macro photography which carried
over into my oil paintings. I studied art and music at Queen's College in New York City and supported myself by playing dance music
with some great musicians all over Long Island. I've always found that one art enables another to prosper, so I would use my capital
to travel to Kauai when the chills set in.
I have lived on Kauai for over twenty years now ... some girls just never go home!
My partner Jeff Iglesia and I form the duet Easy Living: playing classical music for weddings, the sweetest jazz you ever heard for that
moonlight cocktail party and if it's required we'll get a rhythm section and move you a little too. Jeff has done some serious touring,
and has seen a lot of the world with his guitar. But he's a local boy and Hawaii is in his blood and now we're playing, recording and
writing music on beautiful Kauai.
The colors of the Pacific are captivating and the flora especially. I have been working with pastels to capture the warmth of the
tropics, the shapes and the design of the Creator, the color. I believe the closer you look, the more you discover.
Aloha and Mahalo for visiting. Drop me a note if you're headed to Kauai!
